Who is responsible

Ciya Petekkaya is the controller responsible for the personal information described here. In this notice, “we” and “us” refer to Ciya Petekkaya.

This notice covers this website and enquiries about our services. A client project that involves processing other people’s data needs its own agreed data-protection arrangements.

Visiting the website

The website is hosted with Hostinger on a server in Germany. To deliver pages and protect the service, the server and systems handling web requests process technical information such as your IP address, request time, page or file requested, response status, browser information and any referring page supplied by your browser. Technical access and error logs support troubleshooting and security investigations.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website under Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Technical connection information is needed to load the site; you do not need to create an account.

Fonts, photographs, illustrations and example websites are served from this website. Viewing them does not load an external font service, social-media widget or embedded third-party website.

Cookies and local navigation data

The website application does not set cookies for advertising or tracking, use visitor analytics, or create marketing profiles. It uses your browser’s history to restore the place you chose in the studio or showroom when you return or reload.

When you move between the two rooms, a temporary picture of the rendered scene, its dimensions and its creation time can be stored in your tab’s session storage. This keeps the view continuous while the next room loads. It is not a recording of your activity, does not include contact-form answers, and is not uploaded to the server.

The destination page reads and removes that picture and ignores pictures that are 15 seconds old or older. If the navigation is interrupted before that happens, the entry can remain for the browser session. You can clear it using your browser’s site-data controls. If session storage is unavailable, the site uses a built-in still image and the same services remain accessible.

Using the contact form or email

The form asks for your name and email address; your message is optional. When you select “Send message”, your details are sent over an encrypted connection to this website’s server and forwarded through Hostinger Email to contact@robinbyte.com. Your email address is used as the reply address so we can answer you. The form does not send an automatic acknowledgement to your address.

The application keeps your answers in the page while you write and processes them temporarily on the server to prepare the email. It does not save form answers in browser history, local/session storage, an application database or application logs. Received correspondence is stored in our Hostinger mailbox. Your browser’s autofill settings operate separately.

To limit spam and accidental repeat messages, the server also checks request origin, message size and submission frequency. It temporarily keeps protected fingerprints of connection and submission information in memory. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in protecting the contact service under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can also email us directly. We receive your address, message and any other information or attachments you choose to include. We use the information to answer your question, discuss your requirements and manage any project you pursue. An enquiry does not sign you up for marketing or create a purchase.

For steps you ask us to take towards a contract with you, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For general enquiries and correspondence with someone acting for a business, it is our legitimate interest in responding and managing business relationships under Article 6(1)(f). Providing information is voluntary, but we need a way to reply and enough detail to understand your request.

Service providers and international processing

Hostinger provides both our website hosting and email service. Hosting and technical-delivery systems process connection information to operate the site; Hostinger Email handles delivery and storage of correspondence. Personal information may also be disclosed where a legal obligation requires it or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

The website server’s location does not mean every service provider processes data only in Germany. Hostinger describes its use of affiliates, subprocessors and international-transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum and privacy policy. Your own email provider also determines how it routes and stores your messages.

You can contact us for information about the providers involved in your correspondence and any applicable transfer safeguards.

How long information is kept

• Browser navigation: scene pictures are removed when the destination reads them, or can remain until the tab’s session ends if navigation is interrupted. History data follows your browser’s history and restoration settings.
• Contact-form protection: connection-rate counters and fingerprints used to recognise repeated message content normally expire after 10 minutes. Submission-reference records and records of uncertain delivery expire after 24 hours; site-wide send counters also cover up to 24 hours. Expired records are removed on subsequent requests or by a cleanup that runs every minute. These records are held only in memory and are cleared when the contact service restarts.
• Technical records: retention depends on their use for investigating errors, protecting the service and resolving specific incidents. Records needed for an unresolved security issue or a legal preservation duty can be needed for longer than routine operational records.
• Enquiries and project correspondence: retention is assessed against whether your enquiry is resolved, a resulting project or agreed support is ongoing, and whether a specific legal claim or statutory record-keeping duty applies. A general enquiry is not automatically treated as an invoice or an accounting record.
• A declined website draft: if you decline, we remove the private preview from the internet and delete the draft website and its assets. Separate correspondence and any legally required records follow the criteria above.

Where information must be retained to meet a legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR applies. Retaining information for a specific legal claim can be based on Article 6(1)(f).

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in data-protection law, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a portable copy of data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Send a request to contact@robinbyte.com or the postal address above. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask for information needed to verify it. We respond without undue delay and within one month of receiving your request. Where legally permitted because of the complexity or number of requests, this can be extended by up to two further months. We will tell you within the first month and explain why.

You also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority, particularly where you live or work or where you believe a breach occurred. The Bremen data-protection authority accepts complaints. If UK data-protection law applies to your concern, you can contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us first.

Automated decisions and external links

This website does not make decisions about you through automated profiling. The animated scenes and illustrative faces do not use your camera, microphone or facial information.

External websites and email applications operate under their own privacy information when you choose to use them. We update this notice when the website’s processing changes; the date above identifies the current version.
